From the File Drawer ...

I was fortunate to acquire the dictation transcript of the intake notes from the meeting that Richard & Marilyn Bush had with Mr. Seabrook of the American Home Finding Association.  I also possess a number of correspondence exchanges that my biological mother had with the director of American Home Finding. To my knowledge, all principal parties from this meeting are now deceased. I thought it prudent to be able to share with you the heartbreak of a biological parent who made such a tremendous sacrifice for the well-being of their family. There is absolutely no doubt that Richard & Marilyn Bush made the right decision regarding the future of their children. Thank God for institutions such as the American Home Finding Association that will facilitate and mediate for hurting people that find themselves in a life crisis. This is a view from the other side of the adoption process that many times is hidden and not discussed; however I feel that it needs to be shared.
